Taehyung
The boys and I were all in the living room, waiting for Namjoon and Alina to come home from their walk. We all knew that whenever those two went for their “nature walk” it could take hours.
‘Seems like they’re enjoying their walk,’ Jungkook said from his seat as he played on the play station.
‘Seems like it,’ Jimin said as he also played along with Jungkook. ‘They both needed it,’ he said.
‘Yeah, you’re right. They’ve both been really worried. I mean we all are but you know Namjoon, he feels responsible for all of us and Alina was hiding away her fears not to worry us,’ Hoseok said as he shifted on the couch.
‘You could say that again,’ I said, as their eyes turned to me. ‘I could feel how anxious she was, even when she would be smiling or saying it’s fine,’ I said.
‘Yeah. I haven’t been bonded with her as long as you but I could feel it too,’ Yoongi said.
‘Walks have always calmed down Namjoon,’ Jin said with a fond smile. ‘I remember when we had first met. He used to always disappear to go on those walks,’ he said.
‘Yoongi used to do that too,’ Hoseok said as he looked at Yoongi who just shrugged. ‘That or he would isolate himself,’ he said.
‘Because I knew I could because you were always there, ready for me when I needed you to be,’ Yoongi said, forcing Hoseok to smile.
All of a sudden, I felt a rush of emotions – fear and worry and anxiety. Yoongi looked up as well as he looked at me. ‘Alina,’ he said.
‘Something’s wrong,’ I said as I stood up. Suddenly, I felt a pain in my arm. I winced, as did the others as we all exchanged a look. ‘We need to go. Now!’ I said as I quickly took off running.
I jumped out of the porch, transforming mid-jump. I could sense the others right behind me. I could feel Namjoon burning which made my heart race.
‘Namjoon is in so much pain. It feels like…’ Jimin began but stopped unable to stop the words. Anyone could feel the worry radiating off of him.
‘Like a vampire bite,’ I finished for him. I gulped as I thought it and ran faster. Namjoon and Alina… our Namjoon and Alina were in danger, hurt and potentially dying.
‘That would kill him!’ Jin said, panic clear in his voice and heart rate. Nobody said anything as we followed their scent but it was muddled with blood and vampire’s scent.
‘There, up north,’ Jungkook said as we all increased our efforts and ran. My eyes widened as I saw Namjoon laying naked on the ground. Jin transformed into his human formed as he ran to him.
‘NAMJOON!!’ Jin yelled he went to his knees next to Namjoon. Hoseok and Jimin also turned as they helped Jin to turn him over while Yoongi, Jungkook and I looked at the area but there was no trace of vampires… or Alina.
‘The vampires are gone. Absolutely no trace of them here,’ Jungkook said, clearly distraught.
‘There’s no trace of Alina either,’ I said as they both looked at me. I felt as if my heart was breaking into pieces. I transformed as did the others.
‘Namjoon, please, please open your eyes,’ Jin said as he caressed Namjoon’s face. I gulped as I felt my heart race. I tried to focus on Namjoon for now, but my mind could not stop thinking about Alina. Was she okay? Was she hurt? What did they want with her?
‘His temperature is going down to normal,’ Hoseok said as he touched Namjoon’s face.
‘He was bitten here,’ Jimin said with a sniff as he showed Namjoon’s arm. He caressed it softly while I took it in my own and examined it. There was a clear indication of the bite but it seemed as if it was not new. It looked more like a scar than a fresh bite.
‘There definitely was a bite here but it looks strange,’ I said as I ran my finger over it, ‘like it was healed or something,’ I said.
‘Maybe Alina healed him before,’ Yoongi began as all eyes turned to him once more. He stopped, unable to say the words because saying the words made it too real.
‘Where is Alina?’ Jin asked as he seemed to suddenly realize while he looked around frantically.
‘They…they took her, didn’t they?’ Jimin asked as tears fell down his cheeks. I gulped as I nodded.
‘I think so,’ I said. Jimin burst out crying completely while Jungkook held him, but I could see the angry look on Jungkook’s face. Jungkook rocked Jimin back and forth while Jimin held onto him. Jin gulped as he stood staring at me with big, teary eyes. Hoseok looked between me and Yoongi.
‘She’s alive though right? They didn’t kill her right? Please tell me they didn’t kill her!’ Hoseok said, starting to panic even more.
‘She’s alive Hoseok, don’t worry,’ Yoongi quickly said while I shook my head, in agreement.
'No, I, we would have felt it,’ I said as I gulped. I looked at each of them, everyone boring the same look of worry.
‘There must have been a pretty big fight. She certainly did some damage,’ Jungkook said as he pointed to a place where there were ashes and smoke and then to several trees that were bent. She certainly did – she did not go down without a fight.
‘We need to find her,’ Jimin said among his sobs. I nodded in agreement but I didn’t even know from where to start looking.
Namjoon suddenly groaned and our attention went to him. ‘Joon? Baby can you hear me?’ Jin asked, his voice laced with more than just worry.
‘Ye—yeah,’ Namjoon replied as he sat up. He opened his eyes and looked at us but his eyes were searching for Alina. He gulped as his eyes went wide and his heart picked up its pace. ‘They took Alina. They took her,’ he said as he began to breathe heavily.
‘Namjoon calm down,’ I said, going in front of him. He looked at me as he tried to calm his breathing. I cupped his face with my hands as I breathed with him. He seemed to calm down a little, just at least to talk. ‘Can you tell us what happened?’ I asked.
‘We… we went for a walk and a swim. We came back up and suddenly we were surrounded by vampires before we could leave. Alina… she was helping me fight them off and one was going to attack her. I… I saved her and got bit but… but she healed me. She used… she used a lot of her power to do so and I saw them take her. I couldn’t stop them. I couldn’t stop them. I couldn’t protect her!’ he cried out as he shook his head desperately.
‘Shhh calm down. It wasn’t your fault Joonie,’ Yoongi said but Namjoon continued to shake his head.
‘Yes, it is!’ he shouted. ‘I was supposed to protect her! I was supposed to keep her safe and I let her get taken away! God knows what they will do to her!’ he said.
‘We can’t think like that Joonie. We have to focus on getting her back,’ Jin said as he rubbed his back.
‘How? How are we going to get her back?’ he asked. I stood and ran my hand through my hair.
‘I don’t know but we will figure it out. We’ll figure something out because she’s our mate and we won’t give up on her,’ I said.
‘Taehyung is right,’ Jungkook said, also standing up. ‘We’ll ask the other members of the pack too. They will help,’ Jungkook said as I nodded.
‘We’ll start from here and try to trace her scent – hers or the vampires. We’ll find her,’ Yoongi said, sounding determined.
‘Together,’ Hoseok added.
‘Together,’ Jimin repeated. Namjoon nodded as everyone stood up, ready to get to work.
We transformed back into our wolf forms as we howled, indicating for the others to come. Within a few seconds, I could feel the others entering the mind link.
‘Is everything okay? We’re on our way!’ Junsu said.
‘Listen closely. Alina and Namjoon were attacked by vampires. Namjoon is okay but Alina was taken. We need your help,’ I said.
‘We’re with you. We’ll help,’ Kai said.
‘So will we,’ Solar promptly responded.
‘We’ll help any way we can too,’ Huening Kai added. I nodded, even though they could not see. I looked at the others as we all focused on hope – hope to finding our mate soon – and hope to finding her unharmed before it was too late.
